I'm a freelance cookery writer and recipe developer. Given my training as a Nutritionist and background in clinical practice, I bring an evidence based, clear-sighted approach to food and nutrition. I aim to cut through the nonsense, misinformation and nutritional fads, to bring you practical, useful and entertaining information.
I am also a recipe developer and specialise in writing healthy, balanced and, most importantly, delicious recipes, which are also easy to prepare.
My clients include Reader’s Digest, Wellbeing Magazine and The Private Practice. For three years I wrote a regular recipe column called 'Ten Minute Kitchen' for Life etc magazine. I was the the Nutrition Editor for HealthSmart, where I wrote 'The Everyday Kitchen' column, a bi-monthly five page recipe spread and online blog. I've also written and edited product and book reviews, as well as healthy eating 'tips and tricks' pages.
I am the co-author of An Honest Kitchen, with Melbourne photographer and writer Lucinda Dodds. An Honest Kitchen is an occasional e-magazine about real food that’s good for you. It includes recipes for meals that are balanced, made up of ingredients that improve health and served in realistic portions.
