An interview at Stonesoup
Posted by kathryn in Blogging
I’m on holidays at the moment, down the coast in gorgeous Jervis Bay. Which means I nearly missed the posting on Stonesoup of an interview I did with Jules. You can find it here. We chat about getting enough vegetables, organic food, being a vegetarian and my recent encounters with urban chicken-keeping.

have fun in jervis – wish I was there about now
Hello
In terms of getting enough Veg are you familiar with foodconnect, an initiative which connects organic farmers directly with customers in the city? Website well worth a visit and they work in Melbourne and Sydney and Brisbane
As a vegetarian it can be important to tank up on iron now and then, I do do the broccoli / greens and vitamin C combo, as well as molasses, but sometimes I may take a tablet or two, or a liquid suppliment, for example, which contains Vitamin C for enhancing iron absorption, antioxidant rich Malpighia Punicifolia fruit and the laxative effect of Prunes (to counteract the sometimes constipating effect of the iron.)
By the way forgot to add that your blog is very aesthetically pleasing – love the colour schem and the uncluttered presentation
Mano, thank you! I am very familiar with Food Connect, in fact I’ve been subscribing since they started up in Sydney back in February. It is a great scheme.
