Christmas Gift ideas (part 1)
Posted by kathryn in Blogging, Summer and Winter

It’s been a busy, busy last couple of weeks. Lucy and I are cracking along with An Honest Kitchen and there will be more about that tomorrow.
In the meantime I have some gift ideas/suggestions for you:
And the Love is Free
Jules Clancy from Stonesoup self-published her first book earlier in the year. It’s called And the Love is Free and is a collection of the recipes her mum cooked. Not everything is healthy, but it’s a good book for people who are new to cooking or just moving out of home. There are simple, no-nonsense recipes for classic Australian dishes like baked chicken, a roast dinner, making gravy, lasagne, pavlova, even lamingtons. Jules has been kind enough to offer Limes & Lycopene readers a 10% discount on her book.
- You can order And the love is Free by clicking here or calling Naomi Clancy on 0407 014 232.
- To get the 10% discount you need to order before Christmas and use the discount code ‘Christmas’.
- Postage within Australia is free.
- You can also download a free extract of And the Love is Free from Stonesoup.
A box of cherries
Sorry but this one’s for Australian readers only – a good friend of mine works for Fruit at Work. Yesterday she sent me an email about their new service Cherries Direct – which is a beautiful idea. I can’t think of many things lovelier than being sent a box of freshly (well last 48 hours) picked cherries. You could almost say I’ve been obsessing about it ever since.
Menu for Hope
Chez Pim is running Menu for Hope again this year. This is an annual food blogging fundraiser, raising money for the World Food Programme. The fundraiser kicks off on Monday; and there will be a heap of fabulous prizes offered by foodbloggers from around the world (including Lucy and I). It’s a great cause to support.
