- Soy bomb: It took me two goes to get these little gems right, but it was definitely worth persisting. Soy bombs from Cindy at Where’s the beef?
- Trying new foods: In response to the 31 Days to a Better Diet Kada at Through Thick & Thin tries some new foods. Loved this account of her progress.
- Simple green beans: A super simple way with green beans from Eating Out Loud. Crunchy fresh beans with toasted sesame seeds. Light and delicious.
- Smoothies: Sophie has been writing some good stuff about smoothies on Mostly Eating_. The first post is about making your smoothies more nutritious while the second covers ingredients to make smoothies more interestingnutritious.html.
- Sexy, spicy broccoli? The second easy way with broccoli I’ve spotted in as many weeks. This time it’s raw, marinated in a garlic sesame dressing.
- Health reports: Via Weighty Matters I came across Health News Review a US site which rates news reports on health issues. They look at the level of scare-mongering, the thoroughness of the report, whether alternative views are presented – and give each news item a grading.
- Another lentil soup: I liked the look of this soup from the week’s Good Living: Fijian creamy lentil soup with caramelised onions.

Simply sexy green beans and sexy broccoli! Love it. :) I made a raw broccoli salad from Taste Buddies a little while back that used cumin, cilantro, lemon juice, garlic and olive oil (and I included flax oil). I really liked it very much and have this NY Times recipe bookmarked to try as well. Love the sound of the sesame oil in there. I was thinking I might use cauliflower though, as that is what’s plentiful around here this week!
Wow, that broccoli salad sounds just what we need for dinner! Thanks Kathryn :)
Doesn’t the broccoli sound amazing? I still haven’t tried last week’s one from The Wednesday Chef, but broccoli is on my shopping list this week – so I’m hoping to squeeze both in this week.
I always look forward to you link posts. Such great information, I always find something that I want to try.
Thanks for the links. I actually just read about those soy bombs and I loved the idea too.
Update: I made the soy bombs again earlier in the week and used rolled oats instead of breadcrumbs. It worked really well.
