Everything but: lamb, olive oil and salmon. What’s the prize?

Mel T 17 April, 2008

I think it’s all except – milk, lamb, olive oil, butter, salmon.

Peta 17 April, 2008

My guess is that all contain fibre except milk, tofu, olive oil and butter.

I think all of them except milk, olive oil, butter.
Joanne 17 April, 2008

All the plant foods except olive oil. I’m not sure about the tofu, though – is it processed enough to contain no fibre? I think it has some, though.

And here are the answers:

  1. bread: yes – but how much depends on the bread. A good chunky wholegrain can be about 7 percent fibre, while bog-standard white bread is about 3 percent.
  2. milk: no fibre
  3. pumpkin: yes
  4. lamb: no fibre
  5. tofu: yes it does contain fibre – depending on the type it’s about 5 percent.
  6. broccoli: yes
  7. apples: yes
  8. olive oil: no fibre
  9. butter: no fibre
  10. salmon: no fibre
  11. bananas: yes
  12. rice: yes
  13. hazelnuts: yes
  14. chickpeas: yes
  15. sultanas: yes

So all of them contain fibre except milk, lamb, olive oil, butter and salmon.
