What I'm eating

  • Saturday. Iku lunch today: tofu burger w/ steamed veg, pickled red cabbage & beetroot, & chickpea w/ beetroot. Plus they're amazing dressing
  • Thurs late lunch: Pad Thai with tofu and double the vegetables.
  • Hungry all morning & knew lunch was going to be late. Had half a tin of white beans, a banana, a peach & square of Beetrotinger cake.
  • Thurs breakfast: rye and pumpkin seed toast again. One w/ white bean paste / dip & t'other w/ marmalade. Plus some pineapple.
  • Made kind of polenta pie for Tues dinner. Polenta top & bottom, w/ filling of lentils & silverbeet cooked in tomato.Topped w/ cheese & baked

Did you walk to work today?

Walking is one of the easiest and cheapest forms of physical activity. While you can treat it as exercise, walking is also a mode of transport. You can walk to the shops, to a friend’s house and you can even walk to work. If we all walked a bit more, it would do wonders for our health.

Today is national Walk to Work Day. This is an annual event, aimed at getting people out of the car and into their sneakers.

You can walk to and from work or get out for a walk at lunch-time. If you didn’t walk to work this morning, why not get off the bus a stop early this evening, and walk the rest of the way home?

I’m working from home today, so it wasn’t a bit walk to work for me! However, I did go out for a 45 minute march around the harbour and Blackwattle Bay this morning.
