Bell awards

Posted by kathryn in All In A Day's Work

About a week ago I coyishly alluded to some news, about my writing . . .

As you may know, since the beginning of the year I’ve been writing for Wellbeing magazine . So far they’ve published three of my articles (Label Lowdown, The Folate Debate and Glycemic Load: what the GI scale isn’t telling you) and there’s another on the way (about the new RDI).

Anyway, Wellbeing have nominated me . . . as their entrant for the Writer of the Year category at the 2006 Bell Awards, run by the Australian Business&Specialist Publishers .

I’m pretty stoked about being nominated for the Bells. I’ve no idea who else is being considered, or how my nomination will go, but it’s an exciting and unexpected thumbs-up. The winners are announced at the end of November, so I’ll let you know.

Welcome ilingc, Neil and Sonia, and thanks for your good wishes. I’m really very excited about the nomination. I have no idea who else has been nominated of what my “chances” are, but I’ll definitely let you all know.
